Starting with a Football and some Beer

The first job I had this year was shooting the VIP Tailgate party for the BCS game at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA. Man that was fun! On Thursday Jan. 2nd, I set up the GoPro. Fastened it to a post about 20 feet up, connected it to continuous power and let it run for 6 days straight!

Rose Bowl MockupOn Game day I brought the Canon xf-305 and Vixia HF-G20 and captured the warm-up to the big event.  Over 3,000 attendees, many from out of state, came to fill up on the regional cuisine and libation. 3Monkees Events did an outstanding job presenting an airport theme, complete with control tower, boarding passes and of course the airport bar.  Each corner was dressed up like the four cities that hosted the BCS game over the years. A fitting tribute to the last BCS game as we know it.
